Helping Your Child at Home:
* Read aloud to your child.
* Do shared reading. You read a sentence. Your child read's a sentence.
* Begin a story and have your child finish it.
* Play games on the refrigerator with magnetic letters and numbers.
* Have your child write letters and thank you notes to friends and relatives.
Homework:
Once a week, I will send homework home with your child in his/her green folder. These activities are meant as a reinforcement of the skills from the previous week.
*** All homework does not have to be completed in 1 night. Your child's homework is meant to be spread out throughout the entire week. Your kids work very hard all day. It's very important that we work as a team to make sure your child learns the skills needed, but I do understand that it's also extremely important that your child just has time to play and be a kid.
