I am proud to be in my fifth year as Principal at Oak Ridge Elementary! I truly believe I work at the greatest school in the world. I am originally from Ames, Iowa. I graduated with a BA in Elementary and Special Education. I knew as soon as I graduated, I needed to find someplace that was warmer, and someplace I could teach bilingual. Texas was the perfect place!

I taught Special Education when I first moved to Texas in another area school district. However, it didn't take long for me to be lured to Conroe ISD to teach bilingual Pre-Kindergarten. During that time, I completed my Masters in Educational Administration. As an Assistant Principal, I have served at Lamar Elementary, Oak Ridge Elementary and Ford Elementary. They are all wonderful schools in Conroe ISD. I then was given the opportunity to return to ORE as Principal, and I jumped on it! The teachers and staff here are so dedicated to students, it is an honor to work here!

I am married and have a wonderful husband, Brian, and together we have a beautiful little girl, Lilly. She is two years old. We also have 2 big dogs: Gunner and Katy. It is always eventful in our household!!

In our free time, we like to go to our ranch in Centerville, Texas. It is in the middle of nowhere, and we love to go and get away from the city. We love the quiet and watching all the wildlife.
