Week of May 26th

No homework!!!!

There will be no new popcorn or spelling words coming home.  

Reading bags are coming home.  Please read the book(s) inside the bag, sign the reading log, and return the bag to school the next day.

A big book full of stories has come home.  Please keep this book at home until your child has finished reading it. Use this book for extra reading.  When your child has finished this book, send it back to school.  I will send a different book home.  All books will need to be returned at the end of the year.

The best way to help your child this year is to have your child read daily.  The more your child reads the better they will become.   Listen to them read, then ask questions when they are done to build comprehension skills.  Your child will need to read a non-fiction level 16 and a level 18 by the end of the year.
