Welcome to Mrs. Brandt's Kindergarten Class Page!
My goal is to use this page as a way to communicate with you about your child and
his or her experiences in kindergarten this year. I will be updating the page regularly in order to keep you informed on what we are learning and upcoming events, as well as sharing tips on how to reinforce your child's learning at home. We are going to have an awesome year together!
Homework
I believe that beginning homework in kindergarten will be a great way to establish a nightly routine with your child that will continue as he or she progresses through the grade levels here at Glen Loch. Please encourage your child to do his or her own writing while listening for the sounds of the words.
The homework will be a variety of child-centered activities and worksheets covering language arts, math, science, and social studies. Homework will be sent home in your child's Tuesday folder. Please complete the activies and send back the initialed homework sheet every Monday. Thank you for your support!
Reminders:
Return library books every Thursday!
Please send a healthy snack with your child everyday!
Please send your child's backpack everyday!
Upcoming projects, assignments, and events:
2X2 Program Forms are due Friday, May 9
May 14 Field Trip to The Oil Ranch near Hockley
All library books are due back May 23
