Welcome to Glen Loch Music!!!Welcome back! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer vacation. I am looking forward to another fantastic year at Glen Loch learning through reading, writing, singing and playing music.
4th Grade: This grade level will focus on beat, rhythm, and learning solfege through reading,
writing and performing. In the spring we will begin learning how to play the recorder.
3rd Grade: This grade level will also focus on steady beat, rhythm, and solfege as well
as learn the recorder in the spring.
2nd Grade: Second grade will focus on beat, rhythm and build a song repertoire through reading and writing music notation.
1st Grade: This grade will learn to keep a steady beat as well, and build a song repertoire.
Kindergarten: Welcome Kindergarten! We are going to have a great time learning the
steady beat, high/low, fast/slow, the difference between our speaking/singing voice, and
building a song repertoire.
BEAT and RHYTHM is the place to start, and other music concepts will build from there. All grades will focus on these throughout the year.
