Shared Reading
The big book we are reading is Crickets On The Go". The new word we are working on is "This".
Attendance
We have so much going on each week! Please come to school each day. Between now and when the school year ends, I need the kids so that I can work on the graduation program with them, get ready for the end of year testing, observe their skills for the report cards, and find time to do fun things like make Mother's Day gifts.
Yogurt Cups
If you have any big sized yogurt cups, please send them in with your child. This isn't something they have to have; it just that we could use them if you have them.
Homework
Read your reader each night and practice retelling the story, identifying the setting, and characters.
Readers & Library Books
The last day for library and for the guided reading books I send home is May 23rd. This will give me two weeks to gather everything up and turn it in for the year.
Spring Conferences
I will be calling each parent to let them know how their child is doing. If you want a face-to-face meeting then you can schedule one during my conference period. Otherwise, please know that everyone will get a phone call from me by the end of the school year.
