As we start the 3rd nine weeks of school I am amazed at all the progress I have noticed. The children are learning so much. I love this time in the school year because you can see how much they have grown. At this time children should know all letters and sounds, all sight words, shapes, numbers 1-20, patterns, sequencing and be able to count at least to 50. Reading groups are going strong. Please work at home on writing sentences using inventive spelling, spaces and end marks. |
