IN THIS UNIT,STUDENTS EXPLORE THE DANGERS OF USING DRUGS,TOBACCO AND ALCOHOL AS WELL AS REASONS AND STRATEGIES TO REFUSE THESE SUBSTANCES IF THEY ARE OFFERED. THE CHAPTERS REPEATEDLY EMPHASIZE THE VALUE OF USING REFUSAL SKILLS AND THE DECISION-MAKING PROCESS WHEN A TEEN IS CONFRONTED WITH THESE SUBSTANCES.
