As you enter the classroom, you find the student information center and class library.
The info. center includes transportation clips, Specials schedule and a check-in/out system.
We use a color code system for AR books:

Grade 1 - yellow
Grade 2 - green
Grade 3 - red
Grade 4 - dark blue
Grade 5 - orange
Grade 6 - light blue

I was awarded an interactive white board as part of a grant from CISD. The board connects to a computer and allows me to display and manipulate computer images.

For the past several years, I have taught students in my classroom how to
graphically organize their thinking by using "Thinking Maps".

Students have access to 4 student desktop computers in the classroom, as well as 2 desktop computer labs and a laptop lab. Students visit the technology lab with Mrs. Fortune for 1 hour a week. They work on various projects over the course of the year.
