Writing Homework:Reading Reflections-assigned on various Mondays and due Thursdays of the same week; see the assignment sheets for complete directions and examples; main goal is to reflect on what has been read and how it relates to the student; do not write a summary of what has been read; students have a blue folder to keep all assignment sheets and reflections

4th 9 Weeks Reading Goal-assigned April 1; due May 16th
*The individual reading range is written at the top of the goal.
*Reading levels are on the spines of many of the books in our library or sometimes on the backs.
*If a reading level is not listed, I can help find one for it if the student brings it to school.
*Mrs. Johnson, the librarian, will also be discussing the reading goal during library time and showing them where particular books can be found.
*On the due date, students should bring their goal to school with the title of the book written in their handwriting and parent signature.
*There may be an in-class assignment on the due date about one of the books that is due.  For example, I may have the students write a summary about a chapter book.  It is not required that they have the actual book in class, but if they do they will be allowed to use it for any in-class assignments.
This goal has 7 books and 6 mini-assignments.
*Students can complete the goal in any order.
*Staple any mini-assignments to the back of the goal.
*Once a requirement is completely done, the student glues that piece of the banana split to their paper on the bulletin board.
*See sheet for all of the details!
