Milam Mustangs can participate in the Accelerated Reader program, in which they read books and then go to computers to take tests on the content of the books. Students earn points according to how many questions they answer correctly.
Students become members of the Accelerated Reader Point Clubs when they have earned 10 (First Grade only), 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200 and 250 points. Membership includes a certificate, a pouch drink, and a prize. Students who earn 250 points become Principal for a half day.
