Specific assignments and instructions are sent home each week in your child's red and white homework folder. The folders come home each Monday. Please keep the folder until all homework is completed and send the completed homework back to school in the folder each Friday.

        * Listen to Your Child Read or Retell to You
        * Practice Letter Names and Sound Associations
        * Practice Matching Upper and Lowercase Letters
        * Encourage Your Student to Write his/her First and Last Name
        * Listen to Your Student Count (keys, books, buttons etc.)
        * Play a board game
        * Identify letters and sounds of the alphabet. Have your child pick out letters in the environment.                    (ex. signs on buildings and billboards)
        * Practice sight words. Here are the 25 sight words in kindergarten. Have your child locate and name                    sight words in a book that you may be reading.
