A SYNERGISTIC MODULAR LAB
First installed by Pitsco, Inc. and brought on-line in the 2002-2003 academic year, Peet Jr. High's Synergistic Lab offers seventh and eighth grade students the opportunity to explore the many aspects of technology in today's world. Lab modules are available that cover a wide range of technological applications in such diverse areas as science, engineering, weather, transportation, and industry. While the core academic classes like science and math offer students some experimental opportunities, technology classes demonstrate more completely how fully integrated many of the concepts learned in those core academic classes are in our day-to-day lives. Students who are always asking "Why do I need this?" will now have the chance to "connect-the-dots" between their core classes and the "real world" they will face in the near future. After all hasn't Technological Literacy become our "Fourth Basic Subject?"
