Homework

Monday - Friday  Please have your child read for 20 minutes each night and check to see that he/she has recorded the number of minutes read, the title of the book, and the pages read on the Reading/Behavior log which comes home each night in their Homework Folder.  There is also a place for them to make a comment about the book if they would like.

It is very important that your child reads each night.  This will help them to gain fluency and a love for reading.  Below is the scheduled weekly homework.  Spelling lists will be added weekly to the site.

Monday   Spelling practice.  Write each word 3 times.

                 Read for 20 minutes

Tuesday  Math Facts practice

               Write spelling words in alphabetical order

               Read 20 minutes

Wednesday  Spelling practice.  Write sentences with                                spelling words using correct                                                punctuation and capitalization.  

                      Read 20 minutes

Thursday     Spelling Practice  Study spelling words for test on Friday by writing the words  not masterd three times each.  Read 20 minutes

Friday         Read 20 minutes
