Each Criminal Justice student is able to join the Criminal Justice Skills USA VICA Club. This organization allows students an opportunity to compete in local, district, state and national competitions in criminal justice skills and leadership. This organization is recognized for its success at all levels of competition. It also provides members with additional opportunities for training with multiple law enforcement personnel. This club is very active in community service, participating in Kid Prints and Bicycle Rodeos throughout the school district. Because so many students go to competition, fundraising is conducted throughout the year. Membership in the CHS Criminal Justice Club requires commitment but has many rewards. Not only do members work hard, but they have opportunities to "play hard" as well with several parties throughout the year.
Club membership is also open to any student who has chosen a career pathway in the field of Criminal Justice. Membership is enhanced by class membership, and students are encouraged to enroll in a criminal justice class.
Membership dues are $20.00 ($5.00 for state dues, $7.00 for national dues, and $8.00 for local dues). |
