OPERATION GRADUATION 2008:  Calling All College Park Parents!!

 

We need YOU to volunteer for Operation Graduation 2008! 

Help us keep this tradition strong and make a final memory for the Graduating Class of 2008! It is important that parents from all classes get involved.  You can help in the Casino Room, Food area, with the Inflatable Games and also with Security.  Shifts start at 11pm and end at 5am...IT CAN BE DONE & IT REALLY IS FUN!  The late shift needs a lot of help to make this all happen.  Sign up today at www.OperationGraduationOnline.com

 

Senior parents: for all the amazing activities involved with OG, your monetary donations are still needed....please consider a minimum donation of $25 to "The Woodlands Operation Graduation" mailed to: PO Box 8461 The Woodlands, TX 77387.  Gift cards are appreciated for prizes & can also be mailed. Together we can make this happen~It's going to be a Night to Treasure for these seniors!

SUMMER SCHOOL:  Students and parents are reminded that any courses taken outside of the traditional schedule must have administrative approval. (See page 22 of the 2008-2009 Course Description Guide.) If you have questions or for administrative approval, the student should contact their academic counselor.

Athletic Information

GOLF:  Golf Tryouts for the 2008-2009 season will be on Monday, August 11th (Time TBA) for all girls interested in playing and incoming 9th grade boys or 10th grade boys new to the program.

Any boy interested in trying out for the varsity squad must submit a playing resume to Coach Tatum at (statum@conroeisd.net) Varsity tryouts will be Monday, August 11th through Wednesday, August 13th. All those interested in trying out must have a physical on the proper CISD form and must contact Coach Tatum via the above email with their contact information. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Tatum.

 

ATHLETIC SUMMER CAMPS:  The TWCP Athletic Coaches will be hosting several summer camps for upcoming freshman and younger students.  You may find camp forms as they become available on the TWCP website:

SENIOR INFORMATION:  The 2008 Senior Letter is now available on-line.  Please view all of the important information so you and your senior to not miss out and understand the expectations for the remainder of the year.

 

GRADUATION PICTURES:  Flash Photography is the official photographer for the 2008 graduation ceremony.  They will be at graduation and take 2 photos of each graduate.  One receiving their diploma and 1 in front of an American flag.  Within the week after graduation, they will send you proofs.  At that time you may order your pictures or you can place an advance order and save.  We will be sending home information with your graduate on Tuesday, April 29th.   You can visit the website of Flash Photography if you would like to order or do not receive your proofs at www.flashphotography.com.

 

SPIKEFEST:  COLLEGE PARK VOLLEYBALL:  SPIKEFEST 2008 NEWS

College Park Volleyball is gearing up for our annual SPIKEFEST 2008 fundraiser!  This is a Co-Ed grass volleyball tournament held at College Park High School.  It will be on May 31st at 9:ooam.  Rules, Regulations and Team Packets will be available through the College Park volleyball players or at our website, www.collegeparkvolleyball.org. 

 

Early Bird Entry is Due May 5th!!!

 

There will be a live DJ, a dunking booth, with chances to "dunk" your favorite staff members.  There will be a special "Serving Court" with chances for players to win free food and prizes as well.  Also, a Silent Auction, with items such as; a week in a five bedroom home in Grand Cayman, a week at a three bedroom home in Durango, Colorado, and a week in a Junior Suite in Cozumel.  We will have raffle items this year, including an I-Phone and a Wii!!! 

 

It is a FUN day of sun and volleyball! 

So get a team together and get your game on!!

 

DRIVERS EDUCATION:  Region 6 Driver Education Classes - Summer 2008

Driver Education class registration is now on line with all Dates/Time/Locations at the Education Service Center, Region Web Page at www.esc6.net

 

Just click on the Driver Education button in the middle of the web page and complete requested information.

 

Fee $320.00 - (payment by credit card)

 

Seating for driver education classes is limited to "first come, first served".  For more information call 936-435-8325

 

2008-09 ORIENTATION DATES:  We are pleased to announce the student orientation dates for the 2008-09 school year. 

Seniors – August 7 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Juniors – August 8  9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Sophomores – August 11  9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Freshman – August 12 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Open (all grades) – August 13  4 p.m. – 7 p.m.

 

OPEN HOUSE 2008-09:  Open House for the 2008-09 school year will be on Monday, September 8 at 6:30 p.m.

 

YEARBOOK:   Extra 2006-2007 (last year) yearbooks are available for sale. Quantities are very limited. Books will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Checks for $75.00 should be made out TWCP and sent to the yearbook room, 3112.

 

Parents who have not purchased the 2007-2008 book (this year) may still do so. Checks may be sent to room 3112 or bought online at:  www.myyear.com
