The Special Education program at Washington Junior High provides an array of instructional support to meet the diverse learning needs of all students with disabilities.  Most services (including related services) are provided to most students in an integrated school setting on our campus.

The Special Education department's instructional and related services and programming supports include:  a content mastery program, a social development class for students with emotional disturbance, transitional services, special education counseling, occupational and physical therapy, speech pathology services, services for students with hearing impairments, and services for students with severe and/or profound disabilities.  The Special Education department, in conjunction with CISD, also provide Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training for school staff.

We exist to prepare each student academically and socially to be critical thinkers, problem solvers and responsible  productive citizens.
