If you like to argue and get your own way then you are in the right place! Debate teaches students to organize their thoughts in a logical and systematic way. In order to be an effective debater, a student must learn valuable skills such as researching, analyzing data and information, and providing their point in order to win their argument. Students can use what they learned in debate for the rest of their lives!
Oral interpretation is the second nine weeks of the semester. In Oral Interpretation, students study the oral reading or performance of a literary text as a form of communication. Students will select, research, analyze, interpret, and perform literary texts such as poems, music lyrics, children's stories, plays, or speeches.
