I began my teaching career in Houston ISD, where I taught 3rd grade Gifted and Talented and 5th grade Science and Social Studies. For 7 years, I was a dedicated teacher in Aldine ISD.  I have taught 6th grade English, 7th and 8th  grade G/T Language Arts.  While working in Aldine I have been a student teacher mentor, and cheerleading coach. This is my 3nd year in CISD. One year as the Academic Achievement Specialist, one as campus Testing Coordinator, and now as Assistant Principal.

I believe that while one's ideas about education are continually being challenged and modified, one's philosophy will remain constant.  My philosophy views education from the perspective of both an educator and student, as I am always learning as well as teaching.  It is my desire as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential by providing an environment that is safe, supportive of risk-taking, and sharing of ideas.  In order for me to be the best educator there are several tenets I feel are vital to my success:  effort, enthusiasm, participation, responsibility and teamwork.
