Objective: Research a poet to read nonfiction literature and create a Slideshow
Directions: 1. Research your poet -- Use books on cart, reference books on library shelves, and online resources. Write your information in the rough draft packet.
                        2. Type your text on Impress slides.
                        3. Insert a picture of your poet. Use Google Images for a great selection of pictures of your poet.
                        4. Jazz up your show with a color background, graphics, music, and animation. Be creative but tasteful in your choices; have a color scheme and a theme. Make sure graphics and music pertain to your poet.

        Poet biographical information is available. Commentaries and criticisms are given. Poems are searchable by title, first line, or last line. There is a glossary of poetic terms. The Timeline of English Poetry is from 658 – 2003 beginning with Old English and ending with Postmodern New English. The calendar is birth and death dates as well as publication dates.

        If you cannot find a poem for your poet, look here. This is an electronic archive designed to make out-of-print volumes of poetry available to readers, scholars, and researchers. If an author has had an offer to reprint a book, the text is removed from this site.
