& Students will be introduced to the current Bluebonnet Books at their weekly library visits and on the morning announcements.

& Students may check out one Bluebonnet book at a time.

& Students may read the book themselves or have a teacher, librarian, or parent read the book to or with them.

& As students read the books, they can either take an AR test (with a score of 70% or above) or write a summary
to prove that they have read them.

& Each teacher will have a Class Tracking Chart (spreadsheet) to keep track of which books each student
      in the class has read.

& Each student can color on his Texas Bluebonnet Award color sheet to personally record the titles of the books
       he has read.

& The student’s teacher should initial next to each title that has been colored to verify that they student has
       successfully completed those books.

& As the students read 5, 10, 15, or 20 books, they may come to the library with their colored tracking sheets to pick up
their Bluebonnet rewards.   ***They must bring their colored tracking sheets with them in order to claim their prizes.
