Activities sponsored by the Glen Loch Library include:
- Library Summer Explorers - a summer program that keeps our students
involved in various activities (reading, writing, math, science, social
studies, sports, trips, etc.). Students who complete the required number
of activities are honored at a presentation at the beginning of the school
year where they receive a well deserved Summer Explorer T-shirt.
- Twenty five students completed the program during the summer of 2007
and were honored with a Summer Explorer T-shirt on
Sept. 14, 2007. Their names appear on a Summer Explorer plaque that
is displayed in the Library.

- Book It reading program- a nation wide reading incentive program sponsored
by Pizza Hut. Students set reading goals for each month, beginning
Oct. 1 and reading until March 31, and they read to reach that monthly goal.
Successful students each month are rewarded with a free pizza coupon from Pizza
Hut!
- Pizza Book Club - first grade students enjoy reading and creating related
projects to earn a pizza lunch in the library. Begins in the spring
semester on February 5 and goes through March 14.
- 2X2 Reading program - Kindergarteners enjoy sharing reading at home using
a list of 20 titles selected by a Texas reading committee. We are
enjoying books from the 2007 list of titles. Students who read 5 of the
titles with their parents earn a reading reward. Program begins February
19 and goes through May 9.
