1993-2008
David Elementary School opened in August of 1990, just six years after a courageous young boy's death. Our school is said to be the only public school in the nation named after a child, David Vetter. He was born in the Conroe Independent School District and taught by CISD teachers. David lived a short 12 years and was widely known as "The Bubble Boy." In memory of how David Vetter touched the lives of so many, David Elementary developed it's mission as follows - The Mission of David Elementary is to inspire through education, to educate toward courage, and in however humble a manner, to help each child to "touch the world."
