School wide special events

Donuts with Dad

This is a PTO sponsored event held on three consecutive weekday mornings in October. Fathers, Grandfathers or another adult male are invited to come one morning with their child(ren) and enjoy a simple breakfast of donuts, bagels, milk, juice and coffee. There will be an opportunity for a picture with Dad ($5.00). Typically the pictures are digital and will be delivered to the students classroom by the next day. A raffle is held to offset the cost of the breakfast and tickets are sold each morning with the drawing held on the last day. Raffle ticket prices are: $1.00 per ticket or 6 tickets for $5.00.

Morning with Mom

This is a PTO sponsored event held on three consecutive weekday mornings in March. Mothers, Grandmothers or another adult female are invited to come one morning with their child(ren) and enjoy a simple breakfast of donuts, bagels, milk, juice and coffee. There will be an opportunity for a picture with Mom ($5.00). Typically the pictures are digital and will be delivered to the students classroom by the next day. A raffle is held to offset the cost of the breakfast and tickets are sold each morning with the drawing held on the last day. Raffle ticket prices are: $1.00 per ticket or 6 tickets for $5.00.

End of Year Carnival

To celebrate a wonderful school year, the PTO organizes and sponsors a school wide carnival. This is a Fun Day which includes games, snacks, teachers in a dunking booth, an obstacle course and many other fun activities. Volunteers are crucial to making this day a success.

Meet the Teacher Night

Help reduce the anxiety associated with a new school year and come to Meet the Teacher Night! This is a Kaufman staff sponsored event that is scheduled for an evening prior to the first day of school where you and your child(ren) came come and meet the teacher(s), drop off school supplies and often fill out those necessary first day of school forms.

Kaufman Open House

This is a Kaufman staff sponsored event usually held near the first month of school. This is your opportunity to find out what is going on in your child's classroom. The teacher will give a brief presentation on what the students will be learning and classroom procedures. There are often opportunities to visit the rooms of the specials teachers, the library and other important places in the school building.

Book Fair

The book fair is organized and sponsored by the Librarian. The proceeds from the book fair are used to purchase items for the library. Volunteers are needed to help set-up the book fair, help with the student preview, work the book fair and clean-up after the book fair.
