| Named after Gerald J. Creighton, a lawyer by profession and former CISD school board president. | ||
| The school was built in 1980 and originally opened as an intermediate school. In 1981 a significant portion of the middle of the school, including the library, burned and had to be re-constructed. | ||
| The school was originally called the "Creighton Country Critters," and then later just the "Creighton Critters." The mascot at that time was the armadillo. | ||
| Two large classroom wings were added to the school in 1994. | ||
| In August of 2001 the school was converted and opened as a new elementary school. | ||
| The school mascot is now the Panther Cub. | ||
| The school colors are red, white, and blue. | ||
| The school motto is: "The Start of Something Big" | ||
| Approximately 880 students attend Creighton Elementary. | ||
