Installing the FirstClass Client

Before upgrading your FirstClass Client, please EXIT out of FirstClass. 

Make sure it is not running in your system tray. 

 

If you aren’t sure, restart your computer before following these directions.

 

Troubleshoot FirstClass Login Problems

 

Set up FirstClass to connect to Conroe I.S.D.’s server

(after installation is complete)

 

FirstClass Installation:

Please follow all the directions (including steps 10-13) or you will not be able to connect to the CISD server

 

1.  Click FirstClass to begin downloading the latest client.  If you receive any security or certification warnings during the installation process, please click “ok,” “next,” or “yes” as appropriate.

 

Alternate download location, or to download MAC client:  http://www.firstclass.com/clientdownloads/  Please return to this website to complete your connection to the CISD FirstClass server after installation from the remote site.

 

AFTER installing FirstClass, you must complete the steps to connect to Conroe I.S.D. system.  Click here to go there now.

 

2. Click “Run” or “Open.”

 

(Using a 28 K modem, download will take about 3 ½ hours.  Using high speed internet, at 1000K/second, download will take about 6 minutes.)

 

3.  Click “Next.”  (Click here to go to the setup directions now.)

 

4.  Click “Yes.”

5.  Click “Anyone who uses this computer” then click “Next.”

6.  Click “Next.”

7.  Click “Next.”

8.  Click “Next.”

9.  Click “Finish.”

10.  Click the arrow next to the word “Advanced.”

11.  Click “Setup.”

12.  Next to the word “Server:” type . . .

Then click “Save” at the bottom right of the window.

13.  Now you will be able to log in to CISD’s FirstClass system.  After entering your User ID and Password (your initial password is the entire social security number with no spaces or dashes), click this symbol to log in:
