Materials: familiar books

Purpose: To provide additional reading opportunities, even young children are capable of showing respect for and praising each others efforts.

How it looks: Partners, who each have a copy of the same book, read to each other one at a time. Partners, who each have a different book, take turns reading the whole book while the partner looks at the pictures. Partners,
who have a copy of the same book, read it together by alternating reading pages. Partners may read a book in unison.
