TAC Report Card Instructions

Open Class from your Grading Classes list (Make sure you click on the correct Nine Week Marking Period.)

Make sure your grades are all entered and correct.

If you need to override a student's average, for example change a 69 to a 70, click on the students average and type in the new average. (Overridden grades will show up in red.) To remove the override click on the average, erase it, and click out of the cell.

Click on the Post(RC) button

You will see this message where the grades are normally located.  Wait until you see the words “Post Completed”

To see that the grades have posted or to input an Incomplete "I" or "EE" or Conduct:

Click the "Grading Classes" tab.

Choose the class you want to view. Click on it and make sure it is highlighted bright blue.  Check the course and section.  The program does not automatically highlight the class from which you just posted.

Now Click on the Report Card Tab

Your students will be listed with Nine week averages pulled from your gradebook.  
To input an Incomplete: (I), Click on the nine week average, erase it and type in a "I".
To input an Exam Exempt (EE), Type in "EE" under the exam column.

Remember:  If you add or change grades in your gradebook later, you must click Post RC again to update your grades for report cards. Make sure that inputting special codes such as I, EE, etc is the last step completed. If you post for a class again the special codes will need to be re-entered.


Conduct: (Not all campuses participate in conduct entry.)
Place your cursor in the box.  You can type in the Conduct Code (E, S, NI, or U) or you can click on the binoculars to see your Conduct Choices.

Comments:  (Not all campuses participate in Comments entry.)(Depending on your campus, Comments can be put in all courses or just in the actual Comments Class.  Please receive clarification on this matter from your campus administration before you enter Comment Codes.)

Place your cursor in the comment box.  You can type in the appropriate Comment Code (1, 55, 102, 205, etc.) or you can click on the binoculars to see your Comment Code choices.

Click on Save when you have completed your work for that class.

Click on the Gradebook Tab and repeat above steps for each class you teach.

If you do not want to continue to receive the missing grades report in your mailbox because you have not posted grades for your comments course, simply post the blank grades.  This will keep the comments course from showing as missing grades, even though there are no grades to report.

Tips for Entering Comments:

1.  If you already know the comment number, you can just type it in.

You will be able to search for comments by . . . :

2.  Key Words-This option will pull up all comments with the keyword you type.

Remember:  If you have trouble posting grades to report cards, please contact one of your campus representatives for help.  
Your campus representatives will also be able to tell you when report card posting will end for your campus.
