How to Set up Internet Explorer and your computer

for use with

Teacher Access Center (TAC)

Configure Internet Explorer to Forget your Username and Password to Enhance Security

 

1.  Open Internet Explorer.

 

2.  Click Tools>Internet Options.

 

3.  Click the Security tab, then click Internet>Custom Level.

 

4.  Scroll all the way to the bottom and click Prompt for Username and Password>OK

 

5.  Click Local intranet>Custom Level>OK

6.  Scroll all the way to the bottom and click Prompt for Username and Password>OK

7.       Click OK

 

To further enhance your TAC experience, configure your display options as follows:

 

1.  Right click a blank area of your desktop/wallpaper, then left click Properties:

2.  Click the Settings tab:

 

3.  Change your screen resolution to 1024x768 by sliding the green tipped arrow, then click OK:

 

*If this view does not work on your particular computer setup, you can always modify it.  Just choose a setting that works for you.

 

4.  Open Internet Explorer and log in to TAC.

 

To Make TAC Text Align and Appear at a Comfortable Size . . .

 

5.  Click View>Text Size, then try different Text Sizes until your students names line up with their grades and you are able to easily see the words and numbers on the screen.
