Bonnie Hubert of The Woodlands, TX, has been named “Mrs. Woodlands International, 2009” and will represent the greater Woodlands area at the 2009 Mrs. Texas International Pageant in San Antonio on March 22, 2009. The Mrs. International Pageant system recognizes women for their commitment to family, profession, and community stewardship. Bonnie is the Crisis Intervention Specialist for the Conroe Independent School District, and the wife of Woodlands Community Association At-Large Director, Skeeter Hubert. The issue she is most concerned with is social justice…how societal issues and institutions affect the emotional and behavioral well-being of individuals. Of particular interest is CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Montgomery County, which trains and supports volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children under the court’s jurisdiction.

Hubert is also currently coaching a Destination Imagination (DI) Team at David Elementary with the help of Deborah Kelley. Members of the team are third grade students.
