Purpose Statement:
The Mathematics Coach supports the implementation of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) through the CISD Mathematics Curriculum in all CISD schools in an effort to facilitate student learning.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with principal to accomplish the campus vision for implementing mathematics TEKS and the CISD mathematics curriculum.
  
• Provide campus staff development in the area of mathematics that was identified by the district and campus administrative teams.
  
• Function as a partner to principals and teachers by providing feedback on instructional strategies through classroom modeling, coaching, one-to-one teacher tutorials, small group tutorials, both horizontal and vertical tutorials, full staff training and staff development of several campuses.
  
• Serve as a resource of information and support in the area of state and district mandated mathematics assessments.
  
• Work with various "at risk" students to demonstrate the implementation of mathematics intervention strategies.
  
• Plan, facilitate and provide district wide staff development.
  
• Assist in the development of district mathematics diagnostic assessments.
  
• Report to the Coordinator of Mathematics.
